Uganda is a country that has
faced war for seventeen years now, leaving many people displaced, dying of hunger of disease. It has become a threat
to the entire community and the country at large. People are migrating from day to day in search of safety. Hygiene
is very poor due to the lack of basic necessities (see Our Needs).
The Nkoma Christian Youth Association was
formed under St Peter's Church Nkoma in the year 2000 after the rebels of Lord's Resistance Army (L.R.A) and People's Redemption
Army intesified their attacks around almost the entire country. This war has left many people displaced, including 1.5
million people living in internally displaced camps. These are the camps such as Kiryandongo, Acholi, Kasese and Katakwi.
